I love Barneys New York SO much! Their employees are always so friendly and helpful, the stores are immaculate, and the eclectic mix of brands and fashion is to die for! Now they’ve just stepped up another notch in my book with a new promotion lasting through the end of this month; bring in any pair of your previously loved jeans to a Barneys Store and trade them in for 20% discount off a new pair! Holla
Barneys is working in conjunction with 1% for the Planet and will recycle all of our previously loved jeans! How considerate! So if you’ve been eyeing a new pair of Current Elliots or Joe’s, head over to Fashion Valley Mall before August 31 with a used pair of jeans to get a big whopping 20% off!
Thanks, Barneys for being so fabulous and environmentally conscious! XOXO

I’m pleased to share with you all my guest blog post that was recently released this week for San Diego Magazine fashion section! Titled, 5 Fashion Musts for this Season’s Del Mar Races, I go over the top 5 things you should MAKE SURE to sport at the races to look absolutely fabulous!
This is an announcement you cannot afford to miss! Starting this fall, Jimmy Choo is coming to an H&M store near you! With a launch of 200 stores worldwide and affordable shoes, accessories and bags - Jimmy Choo is making significant headway with a line that will afford people the style and chicness of a luxury brand while still being able to pay for their next month’s rent. From what I’ve read, the shoes will start at $60! $60?!!! I seriously cannot wait! The store is also going to be selling the Jimmy Choo line for men.
“We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection – the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!,” notes Tamara Mellon, Founder and President, Jimmy Choo
I am absolutely in LOVE with T by Alexander Wang! This line is casual, sophisticated and completely chic…perfect for summer. I recently purchased the pocket muscle tee at Barney’s and seriously can’t get enough of it.
Alexander Wang describes his line, “Necklines are stretched and armholes are strategically lowered so that it looks worn in. It’s like sleeping in a T-shirt and then wearing it the next day. It’s not this crisp little T out of the dryer. It’s draped and kind of wilted.”
These shirts are awesome and totally wearable around the house or out to a bar. And they’re totally easy to clean (NO dry cleaning necessary)! Go buy them before they’re all snatched up! These bad boys are gonna go fast this summer.
All of these styles would go well with boyfriend jeans, an oversized t-shirt or leggings! I am in love with these pieces and know they’ll go to a fabulous, fashionista’s home. HAPPY BIDDING! XOXO
As I’ve stated before, I love vintage (along with most every other 20-something girl on the West Coast). It’s hard to find mint condition vintage (after all I’m looking for 30-40 year old pieces here!) and I don’t especially love rummaging through trunks at Salvation Army. NOT that there’s anything wrong with Salvation Army - it’s just not quite my cup of tea. And what is that perpetual SMELL!?!
So my bf, Jason, has been using eBay for years now. He sells golf clubs, car parts (and sometimes the entire car), vintage coats - you name he’s auctioned if off on eBay and he inspired me over the weekend to create an account and just start checking out what’s available. So I did.
I’m hooked.
Not only did I find some amazing pieces but they’re extremely affordable!! Obviously opening bids can start really low and end up selling past what I’m willing to spend, but that’s the nature of the beast. It’s absolutely amazing what variety and selection this nifty site has to offer! I already have myself setup for a half dozen different auctions for some fabulous 70’s vintage dresses and tunics!! The only thing I don’t like about it is that I have to WAIT for another 7 days before some of the auctions actually end - which kind of blows - but good vintage is worth it.
So if you’ve been sitting on the fence about creating an eBay account, I just want to say please stay sitting because that means there’ll be more vintage selection for ME! XOXO
Everybody loves a great vintage leather motorcycle jacket or couture dress and Spanish Moss Vintage is THE place to find those one of a kind pieces from your most favorite decade! I have an itch for vintage but always have the same dilemma of not knowing where to find exactly what I want. My good friend sent me this link and having never heard of this Southern California based gem, I eagerly visited and instantly fell in love.
Without hesitation I felt like these girls knew what they were doing and have been doing it for awhile. The photography was stylish, elegantly grungy; the clothes were amazingly modern, relevant; the prices were practical, tempting. Everything from bomber jackets to jumpers to fringe moccasins - Spanish Moss Vintage right off the bat shows character, uniqueness and seduction. I can tell they are careful in what they sell. Everything is well thought out. I am absolutely IN LOVE with this site and already have a few pieces sitting in my shopping cart…
I encourage you to take a look at what this jewel of a store offers - there are some serious fabulous finds that would be great as gifts or for your stylish self. GO SHOP!

Being born in the mid-80’s and never having been able to sport the MC Hammer pants (at least not to my knowledge) I was beyond thrilled when I heard the news of the style being relaunched in the form of: the Harem Pant, this spring. Looking like a cross between the I Dream of Genie + the Parachute pants, I took the first chance I could at grabbing a pair of this fashionably forward item.
I got my first pair of Harem pants in Malibu at Intermix. They’re Splendid brand and at around $70 a pair you seriously cannot beat the fashion statement for the price. Not only can I wear them as pants but I can also wear them as a jumpsuit (pair them with a high waisted belt, cropped jacket, and heels and it’s a completely different look).
After hitting the runways this Spring, Harem pants are taking the world by storm. Worn right, these pants are not only comfortable but very fashion forward. Personally I prefer them in black because they maintain that sleek, chic look (can be worn to work with a simple suit jacket, or out at night with a leather jacket). They’re extremely versatile, won’t break the bank AND extremely comfortable.
