Get in line Larry Flynt! the porn bailout needs to wait its turn just like the rest

Ok people, it’s called SATIRE! There are so many people freaking out about Larry Flynt and Joe Francis’ porn industry bailout request and nobody is reading between the lines - the men are making a point that if EVERYBODY is asking and receiving a freakin’ bailout, why wouldn’t porn (one of the biggest industries in America) ask for one too? They need to put food on their dinner tables too, ya know? Come on!

I would love to get some opinions going on about this story - I think it’s a very interesting time what’s happening in American economics and we’ll all shake our heads decades down the road at how this all snowballed. This story is absolutely hilarious because Larry Flynt is obviously making a point and most people don’t get that. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if every single industry in America asked for a bailout - yes, let’s give the pro sports industry bailout money too! Blah!

The quote below seriously made me laugh…

“It’s time for Congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America. The only way they can do this is by supporting the adult industry and doing it quickly.” Flynt said people were “too depressed to be sexually active”. “This is very unhealthy as a nation. Americans can do without cars and such, but they cannot do without sex.”

Need I say more? Some of the comments on the articles I read about this were ridiculous - “people are starving out there because they can’t put food on their tables”. Well, don’t you think Larry Flynt needs to eat too? My feeling is he’ll always be hungry…

You’re spot on Sarah, and the point is well taken. This whole “we totally tanked our industry and now want the taxpayers to bail us out” is getting sick. So here’s my deal, for every dollar handed out to one of these failed companies, one of the executives who caused the problem in the first place gives up a dollar of their personal wealth (matching funds!) and spends a day in jail.

So at this point they owe us 700 billion days in jail, plus they clean out their bank accounts, lose their houses, cars and all the diamond tiaras bought as Christmas presents.

In his own way, Larry was saying “if we spending so much to get screwed, we should spend a few bucks to save the porn industry” - very poignant commentary.

Thanks for your comment, Mark. It’s just frustrating how much this whole thing has snowballed. There are companies that received billions of dollars and they literally have NO clue what to do with it! They’re holding onto the money because they don’t know when we’ll hit rock bottom and don’t even know where/how to spend it anyway. So shit, if the government is going to continue to print money might as well give everybody a hand out right? Geezis.

Let me start by saying Flynt and his counterpart are disgusting, pathetic souls but they were completely successful at making a mockery of the US government which isn’t too difficult to do at this point. I agree with Global Patriot, I’d love to see these CEO’s spend time in prison and feel the pain and fear the average joe’s and jane’s are feeling. I would actually take things a step further though and replace our ENTIRE government. There is so much corruption in our government it makes me nauseous thinking about it. Has it kicked in to everyone that we just bailed the big three auto makers out or more specifically United Auto Workers and there retiree’s? If Larry Flynt understands how much of joke our government is I hope everyone else does or that doesn’t say too much about the general public.
