How long do you wait to call after getting an email like this?

I seriously love my Mom and today was no exception when I received an email titled “Stitches” and the following message in my inbox…

“hey sarah… just got back from the drs with 6 stitches in my forehead. it’s an interesting story about a mouse and a cellar. too long to tell you over email. i’m fine and the mouse is dead…. i’ll call you later.

Mom”

So how long do you wait to call after getting an email like this? My answer - immediately! :) She’s fine but it was a pretty hilarious story nonetheless! I send out my condolences to the mouse.

The Update: So a little background…on Sunday I was on the phone with my Mom and she was telling me that she had found mouse droppings in the house on Sunday and was all grossed out by it. So she set out a bunch of traps.

Well apparently there was a trap set in the wine cellar and when she went around this morning to check the traps the one in the wine cellar wasn’t where she put it. So she called my Dad and asked if he had gotten the mouse - he said “No.” She’s still on the phone with my Dad at this point and noticed a moving tail in the corner, got freaked out, turned and hit her head on the low ceiling. She said “OMG I just hit my head” and then noticed it was wet so she got off the phone with my Dad and grabbed a towel.

She called the doc immediately because she knew she’d probably have to get stitches. Well when my Dad tried to call back, he thought she had passed out cause the line was busy but little did he know she was just on the line with the doc! So he drove home immediately!

She got 6 stitches and my Dad stayed home and took care of the mouse. Ew. What a crazy set of parents I have! ;-) xoxo

SuperBowl XLIII Advertising = FAIL.

Well another Superbowl year has some and gone and in my opinion, this year’s ads were a total miss from a comedic & entertaining standpoint. I watched almost all of the ads during this year’s game (unless I was up getting another beer) and CareerBuilder’s ad was THE only one I saw that actually made me laugh…err smile….somewhat. What, did all of the companies FIRE their marketing/advertising/creative people this year?!?!?!??

So I would say, the CareerBuilder ad was my favorite for the year. What did you all think about this year’s Superbowl advertising spots?
